It is set to be the funniest night to hit Geraldine for all of 2020!
3 internationally recognized Kiwi Comedians, 1 absolutely hilarious local MC, 1 locally hidden comedian, all together for one evening full of laughter!

Saturday 21st March.
Geraldine Primary Hall.
Doors open at 7pm.
$50 per seat.
$450 per table of 8. Table includes a beautiful grazing platter to start your evening!
All tickets include entry to The Great Laugh and a delicious half time Grazing Table for all to enjoy.
Geraldine Rugby Club will be manning the cash bar with non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks.

The Comedians for 2020

We are super excited to have the legendary Mike Boon back in Geraldine and MCing our event! If you haven't seen Mike in action on stage yet, I promise you this event will be worth him alone!

Jeremy Elwood is making his 2nd appearance in Geraldine for our fundraising event, he had the crowd in stitches in 2019. Jeremy has become one of New Zealand’s favourite stand up comics with his unique brand of insightful, intelligent and irreverent comedy. Having been performing for more than 15 years, he has the ability to get any crowd laughing. A regular guest on 7Days, Jeremy has also appeared on our screens on several Comedy Galas, A Night at the Classic and more.

Tony Lyall will also be hitting the stage at "The Great Laugh" you might recognize Tony's face as a reporter and a writer for The Project. He also has a segment on the Rock. And along with Jeremy he writes for 7 Days.....so you know these guys are going to be good when they write the funny stuff for other comedians!

Joining them for 2020 is Bec Sandys. Part South Island, Part North Island, Bec has stormed onto the NZ Comedy scene using her own brutally honest and hilarious story-telling. Drawing on her colourful palette of life experiences, she paints a picture of life as it truly is: up and down, absurd, and bloody funny. A natural performer, this Ashburton native opened for Urzila Carlson at the Christchurch Town Hall, has been a regular on The Project’s Whip Around, and is set to debut her solo show in 2020.

Our 4th comedian for our 2020 show might be a face many in Geraldine recognize, Shelley Iñòn a young mum of 2 who lives in Geraldine with her Argentinean volunteer fire fighting hubby, two energetic young boys and a parrot who talks to anyone!. Before becoming a mother, Shelley dabbled in Stand up comedy as well as studied preforming arts and onscreen acting. A comedic wattpad writer, Shelley is trying her hand at Stand up once again. Will she succeed, or should she stick to the keyboard?!
