Important information regarding the COVID-19 situation and it's relation to our events:
COVID-19 is a growing issue and one that must be closely monitored and considered at every step of planning and decision making in society at the present time. The planning and delivery of our workshops is no different, and we want to assure all ticket holders and potential purchasers that Waste Free With Kate will be acting in accordance to the Ministry of Health's advice; in combination with the requests of the district, city, and regional council's that support our workshops, when it comes to decisions around the delivery, alteration, and modification of these events to ensure the utmost safety of our attendees and the communities they're a part of. Please email brody@katemeads.co.nz with any questions you have.

Attend Kate Mead’s longest-running and most popular workshop to become inspired and entertained about ways you can minimize waste in your home whilst babies are around!

What else? You will receive a free pack full of waste minimization products, including cloth nappies! We even have two ticket options for you to choose from:
- “Single Nappy Starter Pack”. With this ticket, you’ll get admission to the workshop, and a pack worth $45, containing one cloth nappy and some other awesome products all for $12.50
- “Double Nappy Starter Pack”. Once again, you get admission to the workshop, and a pack worth $90, containing two cloth nappies and all the rest of the products too - all for $25.00. Choose your ticket option at the time of purchase.

With each of these tickets, you can bring a partner or friend for free! Just tick the box after you choose your ticket so we know how many people to expect.

Did you know… That each baby goes through approximately 5500 nappy changes throughout their childhood? That’s a lot of single-use items being thrown out across New Zealand!

About Kate:
For over 10 years, Kate Meads has been travelling the country delivering waste minimisation seminars, with topics ranging from cloth nappies, right through to re-usable coffee cups. Kate is extremely passionate about her work and believes that education and the sharing of knowledge is one of the most powerful tools we have in the battle against waste. Kate strongly believes that “If everyone did just one small thing for our environment every single day, we will start to make a difference that will count”.

Kate also prides herself on being “real”. She often jokes with her audiences about the fact that she isn’t perfect, nor does she expect anyone to be. The workshop is a great place to learn what you can do however, and whether it’s big or small, any change in the right direction is a good change.

“Attended the Waste Free Parenting workshop in Havelock North a couple of days ago. To tell you the truth, I hadn't expected it to be such an entertaining evening - there were tears of laughter - but Kate has a great way of bridging the brain-gap between the enormous magnitude of the waste problem, and the genuine differences that can be made by seemingly small individual choices. Highly recommended.” - Deanna, a recent attendee

Ticket Info:
The ‘Individual’ Ticket admits 1 person, and you receive 1 free pack of waste minimization products.

The ‘Couples’ Ticket admits 2 people to the workshop, but you will receive 1 free pack. So, if you’d like to get a pack each, make sure you book individual tickets!

Please note:
Bringing your baby to the workshop is fine, but please be mindful that if they get upset you may need to pop out and settle them. It is preferable not to bring babies older than 6 months to an evening workshop as it can be too late for them, and disruptions can be quite distracting for other attendees. If you bring quiet toys to settle them this can be ok.

We don’t need you to print off your tickets, as we have the ability to scan your ticket from your smartphone or device as you arrive at the workshop.
