High above Auckland, the church of St Matthew-in-the-City rings its bells out over the noise of the city. Who, how, and why are the bells rung? St Matthew's Society of Bellringers is opening up its tower to bring you a whole lot of insight into the ancient art of bellringing.
Come along to St Matthew-in-the-City to learn more about how we create music from heavy metal bells and the people and processes involved. There will be regular bellringing performances and tours of the belfry. See you there!
Belfry tour requires advance bookings. Go online or try in person on the day (first-in-first-served).
