Join us for a One Night Only celebration of the incredible legacy of Bob Dylan...a host of local artists will cover their favourite Dylan songs at the legendary Cabana, NZ's oldest pure live music venue. An all-star line-up, including The Guv himself and your host Kitty Day, with local band Paruphonics headlining the night with an all killer no filler set list. We will be Revisiting Highway 61, seeing Another Side, and getting Blood on the Tracks as we navigate these Modern Times. There will be cake!
PARUPHONICS A whānau of musos based in beautiful CHB, for one night only they will rock your socks off with a headlining set list of Rough and Rowdy Dylan hits from the 60s/70s/80s, guaranteed to get you out of your seat!
KITTY DAY Lifelong Dylan fan and local singer/songwriter, Kitty is throwing this party for her own enjoyment. Along with Daniel Munro of the Munros, Kitty has been selected to appear on the forthcoming Hawkes Bay Music Hub compilation record. An engaging storyteller with a distinctive voice, don't miss this rare chance to see her perform classic Dylan songs.
THE MUNROS The Johnny & June of Hawke's Bay, this acoustic folk/pop duo has a long history in the Bay, with Daniel playing and writing songs here professionally for 15 years and in that time he has built an extensive collection of songs. Hayley started playing with Daniel 7 years ago, and now co-writes with Daniel as well as writing her own songs.
ROY BROWN plays solo piano with beautiful vocals and has been professional since he was 18. Starting at Vidals in Hastings as a solo Pianist he then went on to front Bands in Hawkes Bay, Auckland and Melbourne. He has been The Guv of The Cabana for 11 years. He will show us Dylan's romantic side.
IT AIN'T ME are a trio that never fail to surprise and delight with their classic rock, pop and blues tunes in their unique ukulele style. Together for 7 years, Graham combines smooth vocals with lightning fingered lead ukulele, Karen mixes her smoky vocal stylings with the rhythm ukulele and Chris provides the driving beat with his U-Bass (yes, it's a ukulele AND a bass) and backing vocals.
OPEN MIC SLOTS We will have a few open mic slots for superfans to perform one Dylan song on the Tin Pan Alley Stage. Sign up on your way in.
