The search is on for Auckland’s most promising, environmentally-conscious fashion designers and master up-cyclers.

Join us in celebrating the incredibly unique garments created by Auckland Primary and Secondary School students at the Eye on Nature Wearable Arts Fashion Show.

The Beautification Trust is on a mission to connect and empower communities to learn, grow and look after our environment. Eye on Nature Wearable Arts offers a platform for young Aucklanders to engage in ongoing environmental activities and spread their creative wings.

Tamariki and rangatahi will be showcasing their eco-friendly wearable art pieces on the catwalk. Through the judging criteria; students’ are encouraged to consider what materials they use to construct their garments and what impact these choices have on the environment. Each creation is also designed to represent an environmental message or concern that they’ve researched, in line with the Eye on Nature 2021 theme; “mai nga maunga ki te moana, ko te wai te oranga. From the mountains to the sea, water is life”. The competition is fierce with a total prize pool of $3,500 cash for the winning schools up for grabs.
