Australian Gothic - Craig Silvey Zooms into Toitoi (with Gareth Ward)
[Please note that this Readers + Writers session is now being presented as a back to back offering with 'Tall Tales and Derring Do'.]
Craig Silvey’s novels deal with the hard stuff: racism, homophobia, the human condition. In them, he gives voice to the hunted, the wounded, the grieving and lends space to that most important of things: hope.
Join Craig as he joins us by Zoom link from Australia to delve into the lives of his creations in the novels Rhubarb, Jasper Jones and Honeybee, and get a glimpse into the mind of a writer who urges us to ‘Find out who you are, and live that life.'
Venue: Functions on Hastings, Toitoi Hawke's Bay Arts and Events Centre
