Alternative Rock artist Ivy Blue will be visiting Palmerston North for the first time ever on The Shadows Of Atlas Dawn Tour this June. Playing on June 18th at The Southland Musicians Club (in theatre style), this marks Ivy Blue's second concert at the bottom of the South Island following his debut performance in 2019 and promises to be an entertaining evening for all in attendance.

Performed in intimate theatres around New Zealand, Ivy Blue, whose new acoustic album The Shadows Of Atlas Dawn, was released on January 28th 2021, will be returning to the road after a nearly 2 year absence to perform a series of stories and songs evenings on The Shadows Of Atlas Dawn tour. Ivy Blue (real name James Brodie) will be performing stripped down versions of his music across four studio albums (Chasing Avenues, Longview, Echoes and Silence, and The Shadows Of Atlas Dawn) while sharing stories about his life growing up with Autism and ADHD and the lessons he’s learned along the way. Promising to be an intimate evening with hints of humor and motivation, this promises to be one of the most unique music events of the year.

James Brodie says: “I cannot wait to get back out on tour. When The Shadows Of Atlas Dawn Tour starts in June it will be 21 months since my last full-length show in Napier and nearly 10 months since I last played a shorter acoustic show in Wellington, so I am raring to go. I thrive on touring and getting out to fans, so it will be a great feeling to get back on stage with these small solo and stripped shows and get back on stage for you guys. I haven’t played a full-length show in New Zealand for a few years so it will be a pleasure to play at home again. Of course I haven't decided on the set list as yet and won’t do until I start rehearsing but I’m really look forward to playing a number of songs from The Shadows Of Atlas Dawn live, especially as they fit the stories from my life that I will be sharing on the night so well; and with these stripped down shows I can’t wait to bring these stories and songs to life. However, as it’s been a while since I’ve seen you all, I’m sure the show include plenty of older fan favorites too (including a few songs from Echoes and Silence seeing as I never got to perform this album live due to the lockdown last year). I think the fans will be delighted by the show I have in mind and you can rest assured that I am working hard to bring you something spectacular with a lot of heart. You certainly deserve it for your patience”.
