'Roll Out!' Waiheke Skatepark Opening

The grand opening of the eagerly anticipated Waiheke Skatepark redevelopment.
Part Skateboard competition, part fiesta and part fundraiser expect a little something for everyone...

- An all-ages/abilities Skateboard competition, with riders confirmed from around the country, a female category with Girlskatenz.org confirmed to compete and a huge prize purse that's up for grabs!

- A pro Skateboard demonstration from Skateboard distribution Irrom, witness some of Aotearoa's finest put the park to the test!

- Live music line-up with DJ Hudge, The ONternet and DJ juice.

- A global-local food court with a spread of food vendors right here from the motu.

- Kids zone workshop space with various activities.

- Free Skateboard lessons presented by Cruise Club.

- 'Dark Skies, Bright Path', the event also mark's the launch of the new safety lights campaign, An intiative aimed at ultimately installing safety lights within the space. Aside from keeping our people safe, the addition of safety lights will allow users to skate/ride in the cooler summer evenings, as well as during the winter evenings when day light is limited.
