Join us for this long lunch as we mingle with Gisborne’s finest Chardonnays among the vines at Bushmere Estate. Guests will enjoy the best local produce and kaimoana from our shores, dished up by the very talented team at The Vines. Winewriter and Chardonnay adorer MermaidMary, known for her weekly radio slot on MagicTalk, will be the MC. You will also be entertained throughout the afternoon by three Tairawhiti originals, passionate singer Mere Boynton who will be joined by classical guitarist and taonga puoro player Chaitanya Temepara, in a concert that heralds the beauty of nature, weaving a whariki (woven mat) of waiata (song) in te reo Māori and soulful singer/songwriter Ariana Henare. Relax amongst the vines and enjoy the beautiful views!

To celebrate International Chardonnay Day, The Gisborne Classic Chardonnay Group, a group formed to promote classic oak barrel fermented and aged Chardonnay, has chosen to host an annual weekend of events (always commencing with International Chardonnay Day) celebrating all things Chardonnay for Gisborne and our visitors.
