What’s better than long lingering lunches in Food and Wine Country? How about a long lingering lunch set in stunning secret location, with five-courses devised by five of Hawke’s Bay and New Zealand’s leading chefs?

Sound like you? Then welcome to the inaugural F.A.W.C! Grand Long Lunch, the new signature showcase luncheon of the F.A.W.C! Summer Series.

This is the complete Hawke’s Bay experience for those who dare to venture. Start the day at one of four collection points before being transported to the mystery location. While the location will set the scene, prepare to be spellbound by five magnificent meals matched with exquisite Hawke’s Bay wines.
The star-studded luncheon will see local chefs Casey McDonald, of Craggy Range, and Regnar Christensen, of Black Barn Bistro, joined by Wellington’s Hayden McMillan, co-owner and head chef at Floriditas and Glen File, Head Chef at Josh Emett’s feature establishment Onslow.

And with catering support by Orton’s and set up from Flock and Miss Frou Frou, this is one F.A.W.C! tradition that is set to dazzle in its very first year.

Ticket price includes: Welcome glass of bubbles or cocktail on arrival, canapes, five course lunch with matching wines, transfers from and to i-SITEs, entertainment. Transfer times will be communicated to all ticketholders.

There are 250 tickets available for this event.

F.A.W.C! Food and Wine Classic has new dates but the same plan – to celebrate 10 years of the Hawke’s Bay’s signature culinary festival with incredible wine, fantastic entertainment and some of the best chefs Hawke’s Bay and New Zealand can serve up.
While Covid-19 forced the festival to postpone to our new dates of January 28 – February 6, the majority of F.A.W.C! events have come along for the ride. The Hawke’s Bay’s culinary tastemakers have delivered a dazzling line up of events, including a new signature showcase luncheon that will act as a cornerstone of the Summer Series for years to come.
The entire 10-day festival will be a stunning display of the very best of Food and Wine Country as the region’s finest chefs, winemakers, artisans and purveyors work alongside incredible visiting talent. And with a programme this F.A.W.C!ing good, the hardest part will be deciding which events to leave off your itinerary.
