Fun Fact:
Did you know that since Wild Dunedin was created in 2013, 516 Wild Dunedin medals were given out to young explorers! With 18 medals on offer during the festival, now is your chance to become a young explorer too!
Rewild your Garden:
Sow your very own kowhai tree. Take a kõwhai seed kit home, plant and nurture until large enough to plant out in your garden and attract tūī and bellbirds to your place.
Kōwhai are easy to grow and can take as little as two years to develop from seedling to a plant large enough to put in the ground. They can flower within seven years. Easily grown from seed as long as the seed coat is abraded with sandpaper.
