YMCA Christchurch Holiday Programme

Here at the Christchurch YMCA we work hard to provide great school holiday programmes that will ensure that your children stay entertained throughout their holidays. We offer a range of activities from Arts & Crafts, to Sports & Outdoor Activities. Our programmes are designed to cater for different ages, genders and cultural backgrounds.

All our programmes are run by talented and responsible staff who are trained to provide a safe and stimulating environment. Ensuring your child is safe and having a great time is at the top of our priority list.

WEEKLY PROGRAMMES
Weekly programmes are the step between our day programmes and overnight camps. During the full week the group will engage and build social connections and learn to work together as a team building towards a common goal.

These programmes will be strictly limited to full week registrations. Weekly Programme costs are $300, excluding the Frontrunners Leadership Programme which is $350.

ACTIV8 9–15y based at City YMCA
Let’s get ACTIVE! Outdoor Adventure is at the heart of this programme in which participants will be introduced to a variety of new activities & challenges around Christchurch. At the end of the week, the group will participate in an exciting day hike.

TECH WEEK 13–15y based at the 4C Centre, City YMCA
This programme will focus around curiosity, communication, creativity and critical thinking. Our young teens will have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technology over the course of the week. Engaging in design, wood cutting, computer numerical control printing, robotics and virtual reality are some of the awesome things we offer during the week.

CREATIVE ARTS 9–15y based at the City YMCA
This programme promotes and encourages imagination and creativity. The Creative Arts programme will engage with a range of creative art pieces and activities throughout the week. At the end of the week they will exhibit their creations to friends and family. Everyone is encouraged to express themselves creatively in a safe environment without judgement.

FRONTRUNNERS 13–15y based at the City YMCA
This is a young Leadership Programme, which is socially driven and runs less like a holiday programme and more like a stepping stone into leadership. Daily activities will be used to build leadership and confidence, and there will be an opportunity to lead other younger aged group programmes.
