Enjoy a night of sitting back while you're serenaded with live music from genres of jazz, musicals, pop and folk. Allikins and Emma Salzano, musicians, performers and best friends will bring a live night full of instruments, dance, stories and singing to the ivy stage every fourth Thursday of the month.
Both performers became friends through gaining their diplomas and bachelors in performing arts, musical theatre and have grown alongside each other ever since. Here is a little bit more about them:
Emma is an emerging artist from Wellington, New Zealand. Inspired by a love for music and harmonies, she is influenced by a childhood of Irish Dance and folk music. As a singer, guitarist, saxophonist and pianist, her passion for music has accompanied her involvement in various choirs and singing groups which have toured and competed internationally. Her passion for theatre has led to her involvement performatively as well as in a music director capacity, and she has recently debuted her original musical ‘After the Storm’ which featured in the 2022 NZ Fringe Festival.
Allikins is a queer writer, producer, director and variety performer who focuses on the arts in cabaret. They can be seen as Allikins Jerome in drag, Allikins Rose in burlesque and under the umbrella name Allikins in live singing, dance, modelling or street/festival art performances. They draw inspiration from musicals, jazz, vaudeville, circus and horror media which brings a unique mix of genres together.
These two friends are thrilled to bring Ivy a variety of live music and a night full of storytelling and fun. Join them on their musical journey.
