Town Centre, Te Anau, FiordlandRestrictions

On Thursday the 23rd of June, author Annette Lees will give a talk on her latest book, After Dark: Walking into the Nights of Aotearoa, at the Te Anau Library. Published in October 2021, After Dark is a “beguiling exploration of Aotearoa – from dawn to dusk.”
“Sharing discoveries from a lifetime of walking deep into Aotearoa’s night, conservationist and ecologist Annette Lees takes us on a journey through an often-hidden world. Lees writes of intimacy, bereavement, beauty and awe, inspiring us to slip out our front doors and into the night, where a calmer, quieter, wilder, more ancient world awaits us.”
Avid readers, nature buffs, and simply anyone with an interest in the night will take something away from this talk.
This event is kindly supported by the Te Anau Friends of the Library who will be providing a small supper afterwards.
Places are limited! Please register by calling 03 249 7379 or stop into the Te Anau Library.
This event is part of our Fiordland events programme.
