MOTAT, with support of the Honourable Company of Air Pilots, present: An Evening with Ian Sloan.
This talk is the final in our series of three events in the MOTAT Aviation Conversations.
The MOTAT Aviation Conversations series is designed to acknowledge Aotearoa and Pacific aviation technology of the past, present and future.
From Swordfish to F35, Fleet Air Arm pilot Ian Sloan talks about his career flying in the Royal Navy, including carrier sorties off platforms such as the French Navy’s flagship, Charles De Gaulle. He is also one of few people to have flown both Sea Harrier and Super Etendard.
With 20 years as a fighter pilot and fast jet flying instructor in the Royal Navy, along with attending operational missions in Afghanistan in the Harrier GR9 and providing aviation assurance as the Hawk ‘Trapper’ on Naval Flying Standards Flight (Fixed Wing), this will be an exhilarating and exciting evening of conversation, set amongst a stunning collection of planes in the MOTAT Aviation Hall.
The Honourable Company of Air Pilots proudly support this event. Air Pilots are a Livery Company of the City of London; a philanthropic membership organisation which represents and protects the interests and welfare of pilots and navigators.
Attendance to this event is FREE but a ticket to attend is required. Please register for your ticket.
