Since his breakout role in cult classic film Withnail and I in 1987, Richard E Grant has starred in everything from Spice World to Star Wars via Doctor Who, Downton Abbey and Game of Thrones, and was Oscar-nominated for his 2018 role in Can You Ever Forgive Me?

Born in Swaziland in 1957, Richard E. Grant moved to the UK to pursue his acting career and very quickly became a much-loved fixture on our screens. When his beloved wife Joan died in 2021 after almost 40 years together, she set him a challenge: to find a pocketful of happiness in every day.

The result was his new memoir (released October 5, 2022). Set between the present day and flashbacks to delightfully funny and candid diary entries which recall landmarks from his remarkable life and glittering career, this is an immensely personal and profound memoir that cherishes life’s unexpected joys.
