New year’s special edition: Goodbye Year of the Tiger, Welcome Rabbit 2023

The year of Tiger 2022 is coming to the end. Welcome 2023, the year of Rabbit! This New Year’s special programme contains all my best wishes to you in the year 2023!

After two years buried in Covid, yes! 2022 is a good year! This year we are getting out of Covid, saying goodbye to facemasks and starting to resume normal life. Tiger has completed his duty, and giving way to Rabbit 2023, which will be an even better year for us.

To welcome 2023, the year of the Rabbit, I will teach you to make your own happiness in 5 major Chinese calligraphy styles, along with different ways to write and draw Rabbits with ink in Chinese, so that you can receive and spread blessings to everybody around you. Let’s start our new year together and be ready for a Covid-free new world.

This programme will be three lessons in the Dunedin Chinese Garden.

We will first discuss the composition of the character “happiness”, then practice them in 5 main scripts. Second, we will look at the composition of the character “Rabbit” and draw Rabbit in ink. Finally, we will write them down on nice presentation papers.
