Listening Hui

We are listening: Drop in between our open hours to tell us what will help you, your family and your community keep children safe.

What are the things your family needs? What are the things your community needs? How can we work together to make sure all children are protected?

You are invited to come and have a conversation about what you need, in order to keep your children and other children that you know safe from sexual abuse.

Who should come? Parents! Grandparents! Carers! Teachers! Aunties! Uncles! All of us need to work together to keep the children around us safe.

Come and share a kai and korero with us about your thoughts. There will be activities for your children so you can feel confident in talking freely if you have them with you.

This project is a collaboration between Hohou te Rongo Kahukura and Diversity Counselling New Zealand. If you're unable to make it on the day but want to be part of the conversation, email listeninghui@dcnz.net to stay in touch.

All our facilitators are trained to have sensitive conversations about how to prevent abuse of children. If you need, we will have professional support available on site.

If you know someone who would like to have a conversation about this but they need an interpreter, please email as soon as possible and we will arrange this.
