Exciting new piano trio project that’s been in the pipeline throughout the Covid era and with much eagerness, the group is looking forward to hitting the stage and performing a number of gigs in the coming months. The trio lineup consists of Loris Zigon on piano, Djordje Nikolic on double bass, and Daniel Waterson on drums.
Loris is an Auckland based pianist/keyboardist, arranger, composer and music tutor, who is originally from Slovenija, Europe. He studied at the New Zealand School of Music (2012-2014), gaining a Bachelor of Music with a Major in Jazz and was tutored by some of New Zealand’s most renowned jazz musicians/educators.
Loris has been a freelance musician ever since and as well as performing as a solo artist and leading his own bands and projects, he has been involved with a variety of successful groups over the years which include Big Ticket, The Lindy Tops and Sam & Loris Duo.
