LAUGH OR YOU'RE A BAD PERSON!
It's easy to end up thinking that comedians have no great use in society... and then Volodymyr Zelenskyy bloody went and ruined that, didn't he? Gotta do something now - bollocks! Having been morally goaded into action, five of Christchurch's top stand-ups will scrape themselves off their beds/couches/toilets to be at Wunderbar on June 25th to laugh in the face of oppression and we'd like you to join us.
All jokes aside, please do come along to our comedy night to raise money for aid services to help the embattled peoples of Ukraine, who have been fighting Russian forces since February. All profits* from ticket sales will go to United Help Ukraine (https://unitedhelpukraine.org), a charity helping to send medical aid, food and tactical clothing to help the soldiers, frontline workers and families who are still struggling to survive against this wholly unjustifiable invasion orchestrated by an imperialist, a fascist and a monster.
*An infinitesimal amount of the money may go on travel expenses from one part of Christchurch to another part of Christchurch. Matt Threadwell insists on getting flown in from Aranui (thinks he's all that!)
