Pride Family Fun Day

Auckland Museum is celebrating Auckland Pride Festival with a fun-filled day of activities and entertainment at our Family Fun Pride Day.

We warmly welcome LGBTQIA+ families and their allies to a fun-filled day of craft activities and entertainment, including a DJ in Te Ao Mārama and drag queen storytime with Anita Wigl'it (from RuPaul's Drag Race - Down Under) and Ivanna Drink.

Be welcomed by vibrant pavement chalk drawings as you enter the building into Te Ao Mārama - the South Atrium - which will be the base for crafts such as badgemaking and a giant handprint artwork.

And just because you deserve it, we'll be giving away sweet treats and spot prizes.

Rainbow Youth will be on hand to offer amazing advice and resources to parents, and if you've got any questions you've been burning to ask simply pop them into their private question box and they'll be answered online.

Auckland Museum is a safe and inclusive place for all, and we welcome all families to come and celebrate the richness of the society in which we live.

This event has been programmed to go ahead in the red light setting of the COVID-19 Protection Framework. Please ensure you maintain a 1-metre distance from other families, and we ask you to sanitise your hands before and after craft activities.
