Railcar "Round the Hills" Excursion

Experience rail travel from a bygone age and join us on board our Standard Railcar RM31 "Tokomaru" for a return journey "Round the Hills" from Palmerston North to Paraparaumu via Wairarapa then back to Palmerston North via Kapiti.
Departing Palmerston North, we head towards Woodville making our way through the scenic Manawatu Gorge. Then head south through southern Tararua and on to the Wairarapa. Emerging from the Rimutaka Tunnel we make our way through the Hutt Valley and on to Wellington. Then head along the Kapiti Line with spectacular views of Kapiti Island to the left. Arriving at Pararaumu we have a 2 hour stop over where you have the option of having a buffet lunch at the Blue Train (numbers limited) or grab a bite to eat at a local cafe and explore Paraparaumu.
