Ōtautahi’s premiere Grim-Hop acT Slimivich is stoked to take their brand of grating Electro-Punk and Rap inspired, barely suppressed rage to Ōtepoti’s legendary Dunedin Musicians club on the Saturday November 12th.
SLIMIVICH will be joined by certified pop-doom-sludge, alt-rock-cringelord bangers SUNFLOWER SCENT; alt-punk post-funk swing-rap extraordinaire PERSON WILL and Spoken Word slam poet come slick Hip-Hop act CHRISTIAN TUCKER.

Slimivich
Is the eclectic new project from seasoned Ōtautahi metal vocalist Slim Jenkins of Tainted infamy. Owing more to a life long love of downbeat electronic sounds, politically charged Rap and Hardcore Punk, Slimivich doesn’t explode like previous metal releases, instead it radiates and crackles with all the allure of overloaded high voltage circuits, glowing and arcing in the dark. With the release of the projects’ first single, ‘Desert Shimmer’, darker release ‘Hysteria’ grabbing new listeners by the throat, and a live show backed by drums from fellow ex-Tainted member Mo Galloway; fans will not fail to be impressed by this reinterpretation of the same venom spitting Slim they came to know and love, or hate.

Fuzzed out and buzzed out, fuggin’ look out, it’s Sunflower scent. The self-proclaimed poppin’, doomin’, sludgin’, alt-rockin’ cringelords will be fanging out bangers in the flesh. “Kind of like the ugly offspring of Radiohead and the Melvins,” for your benefit the boys will proudly sling tracks from their debut album, ‘Little Helpers’, to put you in that just so mood.
