This event will commemorate the remarkable first ascent of Mount Everest by Sir Edmund Hillary of New Zealand and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa of Nepal on May 29, 1953.
There will be guest speeches from notable mountaineers and explorers, cultural performances by Nepalese and New Zealand communities, an exhibition showcasing Mount Everest's first ascent route 3D model, fundraising for the Himalayan Trust to support their ongoing work in Nepal, and delicious Nepalese cuisine to enjoy.
