Artz on Show have successfully operated Performing Arts Workshops in Auckland CBD, East Auckland, the North Shore and Hamilton since 2003! Our Franklin Workshop in Karaka opened in 2019!
Artz on show Ltd is a Performing Arts Company, established by Hayley Govorko (nee Buttimore) and based in Auckland, New Zealand.
The company provide Workshops throughout every set of school holidays for children aged 5-15 years. The main aim of the workshops is to "increase self-confidence and self-esteem" within young students, by giving them the opportunity to taste all areas of the performing arts arena, in a fun, yet educational atmosphere.
There are professional facilitators on board at all times throughout every Workshop, but Artz on Show is also focused on fostering the arts within New Zealand and so try to hire facilitators that are training or studying also, to give them work experience.
Each Workshop is based around a theme. In December our theme is CHRISTMAS! Each day they rotate through 6 disciplines, for example, on Monday the Orange (5 year olds) group's timetable may be: jazz, drama, morning tea, art, vocals, lunch, hip hop, theatre arts, group time. Each discipline is 45 minutes long. Every class is tailored to the age group that is being taught.
The times are 9am–4pm daily. Drop off is from 8:30am. From 3:45pm, parents can arrive and observe group time. This is where the students congregate and show their peers what they've learnt during the day. It’s also valuable practice time, as the students put a show on at the end of the week for their parents and families.
