Cellists of Otago with Soprano Rebecca Ryan

Heleen du Plessis’ Cellists of Otago are returning to the Lake Wanaka Centre on Sunday, 27 August at 2.00 pm, to perform a varied programme of well-loved pieces.

Joining the cello ensemble again, is renowned Soprano Rebecca Ryan who first came to international prominence when she gave the UK première of Handel’s newly rediscovered Gloria at London’s Royal Academy of Music.

The audience will love the variety of upbeat pieces including Schindler’s List Theme and Gospel train, together with Villa-Lobos’ magnificent Bachianas Brasilieras and traditional New Zealand songs including Hine e Hini.
