Recruiting new youth and adult members
Do you like Irish and Scottish music and would love to perform in a fun, relaxed group environment?
Then come along to our open rehearsal!
Sunday 19th March, 4pm
Christchurch Irish Society Hall, Spreydon Domain
If you play violin, cello, mandolin, banjo, tin whistle, flute, harp, guitar, bodhran, drums and would like to play Celtic music, we’d love to hear from you!

Is this group for kids or adults?
Both! We welcome from 12 yrs and up
How good do I have to be to join?
You need to have been playing your instrument for a few years at least and be able to either read music or learn by ear. All resources are given ahead of time so you have plenty of time to prepare and practice.
When/where do you rehearse?
Usually once a month on a Sunday afternoon at the Irish Society Hall in Spreydon and an extra 1 or 2 before a performance as needed
Where do you perform?
Every month we try to perform somewhere, this might be at a ceilidh, a folk festival, open mic or anywhere we are welcome!
What kind of music do you play?
Reels, jigs, hornpipes, polkas, songs/ballads..in arrangements for harmonies
