Dog Training Workshop: Focus, Fitness, and Fun!

This fun, dynamic three week workshop will cover training games that will increase your dog’s ability and desire to focus on you as well as canine fitness foundations and basic agility skills. All training with Bark Dog Training is through positive reinforcement, is taught at your dog's current skill level and pace, and is 100% force free. This class is suitable for dogs 9 months old and up.

Please arrive to the class with your dog wearing a harness or flat collar, and a standard leash. You will need to bring:
Treats for your dog (and, bring your dog hungry)
A mat, towel, or bed for your dog to lay on
A tug toy for your dog (optional)
A long line (optional; and a harness is recommended if using a long line)

Please be mindful that some dogs may be nervous in a new environment or around other dogs. Even if your dog is calm, friendly, and confident, please keep your dog on a leash and at a distance of at least a few metres from other dogs at all times when entering into class and through the duration of the class. This will help every dog focus on its owner and on the exercises in the class. Additionally, there is a playground on site- Auckland Council prohibits dogs on playgrounds and requires dogs to be on a leash near playgrounds.

Please note that any fitness activity and activities with groups of dogs carries risk. All human participants and dogs must be in an appropriate physical condition to participate in fitness activities though if needed, variations to exercises will happily be provided.
