About to support DEVILSKIN on their extensive NZ tour, East York are blessing Whitianga & The Coromandel with their unmissable ferocious live rock show (playing for our region in between those massive Devilskin shows!). For a band who launched during a global pandemic, EAST YORK are generating a unique buzz worldwide which only comes along occasionally.

Their debut EP “Origins” (recorded by Tom Larkin of Shihad) is masterfully molded into an exciting, fresh and face melting fusion…Balancing the excitement and unpredictability of Refused, rounded out with the epicness of Alice in Chains and Faith No More. East York have secured an impressive selection of rotation and regular radio airplay on national, indie and student radio stations all over New Zealand and Australia. Including Radio Hauraki, BayRock FM, Kaos FM, The Generator, Radio One, The Faction & have just headlined a solo tour around Aotearoa at the end of 2022, and a run of Australian shows in March 2023. Rock/metal legends sing their praises:

“It’s time for everyone to go to EAST YORK!... music that will rip your face off!” Whitfield Crane - Ugly Kid Joe, Life of Agony

“Killer ... melodic hard rock infused with modern tones” Marzi Montazeri - Philip H. Anselmo & the Illegals, Exhorder

Special support guests are garage-punk rock band Corrosive Moses. A 3 piece comprising local legends, they will be bringing all their blistering energy to the stage.

Post-punk local duo Yoyo will open the night.

3 amazing musical acts for $20 ($25 on the door if not sold out prior - but given limited capacity don't miss out by delaying your ticket purchase).

Doors open at 7pm. Happy hour 7-8pm.
