EVES Real Estate Stand Up Paddle Boarding Championships

Join us for a day of SUP racing with options to suit all ability levels. Whether you are just starting or a seasoned professional, join in the fun and go in the draw to win two tickets to Hawaii thanks to Hawaiian Airlines.

We will have a mixture of racing formats happening, which will vary according to weather conditions. We will ideally have all racing taking place from Mt Maunganui main beach, however we will also look at racing from Leisure Island or Pilot Bay if conditions are not suitable.

The racing formats will include:

1. 300m sprints: These races will be short and sharp, where athletes will race from the beach, to a mark and then back to the beach for a finish... making it easy with only one turn.

2. Technical race: This will be approximately 1.5km-2km and will involve multiple turns. These races will create more action where paddlers will also be required to run through a gantry in between the race.

3. Distance race: This will be done if we have time and conditions are suitable. The race will be from Mt Maunganui to Papamoa and will be approximately 12km.

We will have March 12th as a backup day if we do not complete all racing, but we hope to have everything completed on March 11th.
