Fête du vin: A Great Wine Capitals Celebration

Join us in celebrating the thrilling news that Hawke’s Bay has been named the 12th Great Wine Capital of the World!

Discover what makes Hawke’s Bay one of the globe’s leading destinations for wine tourism for everyone from oenophiles to those who simply like a great glass of wine with dinner.

Peruse the intimate Municipal Laneways and sample wine from 18 different Hawke’s Bay wineries, before partaking in a tasting of wine from some of the 11 other Great Wine Capitals under the guidance of Masters of Wine Michael Henley and Simon Nash.

Enjoy a delicious range of light canapes as you sit back and listen to Scarlett Eden, or for an extra $40, join Master Sommelier Cameron Douglas in a Chardonnay Collection Masterclass in Cedric’s Bar.

Participating wineries include Black Barn Vineyards, Bostock Wines, Chateau Garage, Clearview Estate, Collaboration Wines, Easthope Family Winegrowers, Helio Wines, Herringbone Wine, Kokako Farms, Maxim Wines, Mission Estate, Oak Estate, Shed 530 Estate, Smith & Sheth, Squawking Magpie, Te Awanga Estate, Tironui Estate and Tony Bish Wines.

General Admission ticket price includes: wine tastings and four canapes. Canape's are being provided by Cellar 495, Craft and Social, Dish Catering and Long Island Deli.

F.A.W.C! is a series of exceptional food and wine experiences set in stunning locations in Hawke’s Bay. Running twice a year, F.A.W.C! is a chance to get up close and personal with chefs and food producers, wine makers and the clever people that make up the New Zealand food and wine scene. F.A.W.C! Winter Series runs every weekend during June.
