To celebrate the FIFA Women's World Cup, we are screening the documentary 'The miracle of Taipei' (2019) at the Goethe-Institut in Wellington. The film tells the incredible story of the football club SSG 09 Bergisch Gladbach who were invited to the Women's World Cup 1981 in Taipei. Accompanied by historical footage, the film tells a story that is about much more than sporting success, namely equality and recognition.⚽✊ Next to the film screening, we invite you to check out our current poster exhibition "One Ball - Many Stories: Soccer Nation Germany".
Doors open at 5:30 PM and the screening will start at 6 PM. The film will be shown in German with English subtitles.
