A fashion show not just for glitz and glamour!!!!
Fueled in the hearts and traditions of the Filipinos, the theme is Flores de Mayo (Spanish for "flowers of May") is a festival held in the Philippines in the month of May. It is one of the May devotions to the Blessed Virgin Mary and lasts for the entire month. The Santacruzan (from the Spanish Santa Cruz, "holy cross") is the ritual pageant held on the last day of the Flores de Mayo. Traditionally, only "chosen" young ladies with their respective escorts by their side, parade on the streets under arches colourfully decorated and designed with May flowers. Each lady is dressed in an elaborate gown suited to the Queen that she portrays.
With Flores de MUSA Fashion show, models from different places of various ages, genders, and sizes will all come together wearing sustainable outfits from Musa Fabric - made of banana and abaca fibre, woven and tailored by the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) in jail institutions/Women Community/Persons With Disability (PWD) and IPS/Lumad/Muslims in Davao del Norte, Philippines.
Part of the proceeds will also go to Women’s Refuge.
There will be Musa booth to display Musa accessories like earrings and bags available for purchase at the event.
