"He Whānau Reti Rapa Kotahi" is a series of games between the Trauma Queens (Papaioea/Palmerston North), Quad Bombers (Papaioea/Palmerston North), Smash Malice (Pōneke/Wellington) and Brutal Pageant (Pōneke/Wellington).
This bout will be between Swamp City's home teams - Trauma Queens vs Quad Bombers.

Ko wai mātou? Who are we?
We are two tīma reti rapa (roller derby teams) from Pōneke (Wellington) and Te Papaioea (Palmerston North) and we are joining forces to create our own interleague tonamana whakangahau (fun tournament) to whakanuia (celebrate) our awesome sport, and whakatairanga (promote) and whakaatu ki te hapori (demonstrate), to the rest of the roller derby community in Aotearoa, the importance of encompassing mātāpono māori (māori principles) such as whanaungatanga, kotahitanga and manaakitanga within your organisation. We all should be active in working towards decolonising our leagues and making our spaces inclusive for all. Tīhei mauri ora!
