The 3rd and final 2023 summer concert kicks off with the Blue Light Trio, comprising of Tracey Collins, accordion, Alan MacDonald, cajon and Pascal Roggen 5 string electric violin. Brought together through coincidence, synchronicity and canine misadventure the Blue Light Trio is a group you shouldn’t miss the chance to see.

Tracey Collins has travelled the world wowing audiences with her fantastic Accordion skills and wicked smile. She has worked with the likes of Hello Sailor, Bic Runga, Annie Crumber and has won numerous awards. She is New Zealand’s Premier accordion performer and always brings her flair and energy to the stage.
Alan MacDonald has performed Latin Jazz with his own band and a variety of artists from all over the globe over 2 decades. He performs rhythm on the cajon a percussion instrument of Peruvian origin and if you’d like to know more, he’ll be happy to tell you….

Pascal Roggen will wow you with his 5-string electric violin and Marionette-like stage performance. He has performed around the world in festivals from WOMAD and Woodford to Glastonbury. Working in genres as diverse as jazz, electric dance music, folk, rock, Cuban and many others. He is sure to delight and surprise the audience.

The second half of the show features Caitríona Fallon and her band. An accomplished performer with a spine-tingling voice Caitríona, originally from Ireland, began her singing career as lead vocals with the Riverdance world tour. She is better known in Tauranga for her performance in Tarnish Frocks and Divas where she blew everyone away with her version of Snow Patrol’s “Run” Caitríona will perform a mix of Jazz and Blues tunes by artists such as Norah Jones, Ella Fitzgerald, Caro Emerald and many more. Accompanied by some of the Bay’s most experienced musicians, Leon Gray – piano, Wayne Melville – base, Aaron Wright – guitar and Marc Anderson – drums, this is set to be a fabulous show with some high-class entertainment.
Come on down to the beautiful Haiku Reserve in the Katikati township for a fun evening of family entertainment. It’s a picnic environment so bring your hampers and deck chairs and enjoy some great music in a stunning setting.

Gates open at 5pm. Show starts at 6pm. Tickets are $25pp and are available with cash at the gate or from the Katikati Information Centre.
