It's been too long since Kokomo have played in Hamilton. With a new album under their belt since their last visit it must be time to party! Kokomo have a bunch of new songs and another bunch of old favourites - come along and hear them all.
Kokomo, based in sunny Tauranga, is New Zealand's leading blues 'n' roots band, having established a unique and distinctive style and becoming renowned for dynamic live shows and highly-regarded songwriting. Since the last millennium Kokomo has left an indelible stamp on the New Zealand blues scene, toured extensively throughout the country, performing at the country’s major rock, blues, jazz and folk festivals, releasing more than a dozen albums and a live concert DVD.
The band have most recently released a new album of modern Kiwi blues, Workhorse, which can be heard via the link above (see website section).
In Hamilton expect some old favourites, some new Kokomo songs, and probably a dip into the odd Bob Dylan tune. Most of all, expect a whole bunch of fun!
