Kōpana is the end of year dance showcase for Aorere College's senior dance students.
Kōpana means to urge and incite - a fitting description of what our students will share.
The first half of the showcase was choreographed by none other than Ken Vaega from LH Combine based on ideas of Power and Control students explore a fusion of contemporary and street dance dynamics.
For this we give our thanks to funding from the Creatives in Schools initiative (Ministry of Education, Creative New Zealand).
The second half of the show students will be performing a range of dance forms and pieces, they have learned throughout the year as assessments towards NCEA credits - A celebration of styles and students!
