To celebrate the 112th National Day and promote Taiwan's vibrant culture, the Overseas Community Affairs Council will assemble the National Day Cultural Visit group, led by the FOCA Formosa Circus Art, to tour 9 cities in countries including South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia in early September. Through a blend of traditional and innovative cultural art performances, they aim to showcase Taiwan's boundless cultural creativity to overseas compatriots and forge closer emotional connections between overseas Taiwanese and the nation.
"Leaping Taiwan" begins with indigenous vocals and blends well-known Taiwanese folk and pop songs. By combining classic hits from different eras with Taiwanese imagery and contemporary circus arts, the performance portrays the indomitable spirit and rich diversity of stories from Taiwan's early settlers, fostering a greater understanding of Taiwan's multiculturalism in the Oceania region.
