AOTANGO features Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (APO) Concertmaster and violinist Andrew Beer, NZTrio pianist Somi Kim at our Fazioli grand piano, APO Principal Bassist Gordon Hill, renowned jazz guitarist Sam Swindells and world champion accordionist Grayson Masefield.

Presented in two parts, the evening will open with a concert programme of tango and world music and conclude with a milonga, open for dancers to dance a tanda (a set of tangos) or a waltz in the stunning setting of Te Ao Mārama South Atrium. A milonga soirée encompasses music, dance, and mingling within a welcoming ambience to relish the tunes and steps of tango. Whether you're a seasoned dancer, or new to the tango culture, it promises a delightful experience for all. Participate actively or simply observe and savour the vibrant Milonga ambience with delicious food and beverage options from the Tuitui Bistro & Café. Join us as the Museum comes to life with the melodious rhythms of tango and world music.

AOTANGO will be joined by dancers from the Auckland Tango community.
