Medicine Frame Drumming Workshop

This is a four part course (workbook included) but you are welcome to attend one off sessions. Each session is 2hrs long and we spend the first hour learning more about rhythm, drumming and song. After some tea we then spend the rest of our time drumming, connecting and journeying.

Each session is broken into two parts. During the first hour we spend time learning rhythmic patterns and some songs or chants. We then take a break after which we spend the second half of the session playing together and exploring the rhythms.

The workshop is facilitated by Neil Jourdan. Neil is a registered music therapist working in Special Needs Education. He has been involved in drumming for the past 22 years and has worked across a number of sectors. He has been crafting Shamanic inspired medicine frame drums for the past 16 years. Neil is deeply passionate about the curative power that sacred drumming holds and is constantly exploring this rhythmic landscape.
