In 2018 Ghanaian master musician Yaw Asumadu, moved to NZ and has formed the new band Ozi Ozaa which is a 11 piece band packed full of funk & jazz with sweet highlife and traditional African rhythms with members who have previously played in Kiwi acts such as Batucada Sound Machine, Tahuna Breaks, The Scribes of Ra, Ijebu Pleasure Club Yaw.
The band has been packing out performances including recent joyful performances at the Auckland Arts Festival and supporting Mad Professor
