We welcome back respected and renowned NZ bird & nature artist, Rachel Walker after her previous sell out exhibitions at Petone's seaside art & gift gallery. As well as presenting spectacular beautiful new original paintings in this exhibition, the exhibition will also include a great selection of her cheerful bright and popular limited edition prints. Rachel's creates her magical paintings using a combination of watercolour, spray paint, pen and ink techniques that draw on her awe of New Zealand nature, Her drippy, energetic style is both loose in form and precisely detailed, capturing the attitude and beauty of our birds, sea creatures, reptiles and wild animals.
Rachel graduated at Massey University in Wellington and her successful career in art since has included a number of sell out solo exhibitions, creating cover art for magazines, school journals and albums, corporate murals and a recent NZ stamp edition.
Rachel's original paintings and limited edition prints grace the walls of many wonderful homes around New Zealand and she welcomes inquiries for commissions
Rachel's exhibition will be complimented with an exhibition of photography by Simon Woolf.
