Join us for a two day sculptural workshop with accomplished figurative and portrait sculptor Javier Murcia. Without using a model, students will sculpt the head, face and neck in clay.

Students will
Improve their visual understanding of volumes and proportions through simplified forms and present cannons of the different parts of the head, face and neck.
Have the personalised attention of an experienced figurative sculptor.
Develop techniques and methodology based on present cannons of an average human head, in order to improve the recreation of a portrait in the future.
Who is this for?
Beginner or experienced sculptors looking to improve their figure fundamentals with personalised guidance.
Graphic and digital artists looking to improve their 3 Dimensional visual understanding are also involved in the drawing, illustration or painting of the gesture.
Potters and ceramists with interest in the human form and its artistic expression of it.
Material you need bring:
Clay 10 Kg water base clay for the main work.
Tools two spatulas(large & small)These will help you to do most of the work. Note ceramic tools are not ideal for sculpting. Carvers can also be helpful.
Armature
Will be supplied.
Alternatively you can purchase clay and or tools from Javier on the day. If you need to purchase these on the day, you must let us know when booking(under comments section).Cash only - Clay $35 Tools $40

A minimum of 8 particpents are needed to run this workshop.
