Our featured performers for the 7 May show will be Madillionaires, Rob Whelan and the Heartstrings, and Lost Bird.
The Madillionaires -.The Madillionaires; Peter Madill, Jude Madill, and Joseph Coleman, three generations of the same family, plus Jenny Kilpatrick, original Madillionaires' band member and kazoo soloist extraordinaire. Combining dynamic and diverse musical styles with strong vocal harmonies, The Madillionaires will regale you with songs of an imagined yesteryear, and more recent times. Disclosure statement: there may be traces of country; alt-country; folk in this music.
Rob Whelan and the Heartstrings - Wellington based singer songwriter with a collection of heartfelt originals to bring hope, peace, comfort and happiness to all who listen. Infused with cajon and cello for added emotion.
Lost Bird - LOST BiRD is the musical pseudonym of singer-songwriter Ali Whitton. Compared to Bright Eyes, Tallest Man on Earth, or Richard Thompson, Ali's songs of struggle, hope, rootlessness and giving over to abandon will charm you, unsettle you a bit, and make you laugh at your own shared humanity.
