- Find out how to use the necessary tools and equipment provided
- Discover how to bring your flower to life with petal dust colours and fixing techniques
- Learn to tape leaves and bulk out flower stems
- Receive a step-by-step printed guide of the rose flower and leaf-making process and a copy of the sugar paste recipe
- Support and guidance throughout the workshop

What you need to bring:
- A white shirt, T.shirt, or white apron if possible (non-fluffy clothing is best)
- A container to carry your finished rose home in. Approximate size 25cm long x20cm wide x10cm deep

Workshop teacher - Marion Saunders
After a varied career in the food industry in England and having attained City and Guilds Sugarcraft qualifications and winning at the International Salon Culinaire competition, Marion started her own business producing wedding cakes adorned with handmade botanically correct sugar flowers. Six years into her flourishing business, a move to New Zealand with her husband and two children presented itself, providing the perfect opportunity for a career change into teaching. Marion qualified late in life as a primary school teacher and thoroughly enjoyed the learning energy in the classroom.
She continues to follow her passion for sugarcraft by presenting at sugarcraft demonstrations and being an evening class tutor.

Currently, she is the lead educator at Wellington Gardens combining some of her other greatest passions, teaching, plants, and bees.

The ticket is for BOTH DAYS. The ticketing set-up only allows for separate sessions so to work around this only the Thursday session will show as available and the Friday will show sold out. Your ticket will only say the Thursday session but it is for both days.

Located in the Treehouse Seminar Room, Wellington Botanic Garden ki Paekākā.
