Ngā Kōwhaiwhai o Te Papa & Ngā mahi o Te Kāhui Waihanga.
Mapping Te Papa is a kaupapa seeking to understand the historic landscape along the Te Papa peninsula.

The kaupapa is lead and supported by a mix of local amateur and professional historians drawing on historic photos, maps, journals and more in the hope of retaining the stories and knowledge of this whenua for everyone who connects with Tauranga City and Te Papa.

An exciting display of modelling, visual art, design and audio/video demonstrations. Celebrate a set of kōwhaiwhai designs produced through research to help tell the stories of what the Tauranga City centre landscape once was. There will also be public artist talks available most Saturdays at 1pm. Everyone is welcome to attend and be amazed by the depth of knowledge and kaupapa this mahi covers.
