Come and rock the afternoon away with the Napier Technical Memorial Band at our next concert We Will Rock You on Sunday 15 October at the Salvation Army Citadel, Greenmeadows, starting at 2pm. Tickets just $15 on the door and EFTPOS will be available.
You will be singing and even dancing along to hits from The Beach Boys, Queen, Lady Gaga and Village People. Who can resist the stomp stomp clap at the beginning of We Will Rock You, or the infectious actions to YMCA? The James Bond theme, Goldfinger, Skyfall and Live and Let Die also feature in an arrangement of The Best of James Bond. As you listen to each theme, picture the tuxedoed 007 escaping from burning buildings and leaping from moving vehicles before relaxing with a martini, shaken not stirred.
The Junior Band, conducted by Teresa Cuthbert, has welcomed a number of talented new musicians recently, filling out the brass section. They are looking forward to entertaining you with Bohemian Rhapsody, Knights of Destiny and Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
We Will Rock You will be conducted by Musical Director, Christopher Wilson, who will also be performing a trumpet duet with our upcoming star Cameron.
