What Happens in Vegas... returns to the lush red surroundings of the Las Vegas Nite Club on Krd, the 60yr old strip club that is steeped in history is the perfect environment for our first international guest, all the way from Ibiza!
Mr. Doris has been a resident on the White Isle for well over a decade and has played in the biggest & best spots across the island, as well as some of the coolest intimate spots as well, he's supported pretty much every major player in the scene, and can more than hold his own in any environment, and he produces some damn fine tunes too - check out his full bio below.
With support from your resident good-time guru, Murry Sweetpants, this will be yet another mighty night to remember in one of the coolest rooms in Auckland town.
about Mr. Doris;
Mr Doris is something of an anomaly in music. A humbling example of what it takes to truly succeed within the framework of multiple fields. With a steadfast work ethic, an obsessively extensive vinyl library and the willingness to pursue the full extents of his roots (Latin, Soul and Jazz), foundation (Funk/Hip-Hop) and future (Electronic/Dance music)
without any restraints.
His unique style has seen Mr Doris tour the globe on a regular basis as well as hold down respected residencies for brands such as Defected, Glitterbox, Magic Door, Pacha, Space and his most recent tenures at Hi , Lio and Destino Ibiza (including a recent residency for
Claptone's fiesta 'Masquerade' and 2ManyDJ's 'Maxi Discoteca' project.
Production wise, Mr Doris has worked with reggae legend Sizzla, king of beats Nightmares On Wax, musical maestros Groove Armada and jazz greats The Baker Brothers while remixing the likes of The Freestylers, House Of Downtown and Krafty Kuts his tracks have
also been championed by Red Bull and Seth Troxler in promotional campaigns.
Signed to the mighty Bomb Strikes, Ghetto Disco, Midnight Riot and Let There Be House imprints, his many styles of music can be heard from the lounge to the club.
When not in the studio or in the booth, Mr Doris is musical director of After Dark (hosting Space’s famous Sunset Terrace for Carl Cox plus many events around the world), Manumission’s project at Lio Ibiza, The Social London (bringing live funk & soul bands to the nations capital), The Vicar’s Picnic & Back of Beyond festivals and world renowned beach restaurant El Chiringuito (Ibiza, Marbella and Dubai).
