Wellbeing in Rural NZ: Insights and Strategies for Surviving and Thriving
Hear from the guest speaker; Sarah Donaldson will speak about her unique and pragmatic rural mental health insights which includes extensive work with Farmstrong.
Sarah lives on a sheep and beef farm in Wairarapa. She is a Clinical Psychologist with 20+ years experience, and specialises in the wellbeing of rural communities. She works as the Area Coordinator for the Wairarapa Rural Support Trust, a lead agency supporting the cyclone response and currently is heavily involved in supporting the community recovery. Sarah regularly travels to local farms providing psychological support in person or via video link. As a presenter and consultant others seek her unique and pragmatic rural mental health insights, and this has included extensive work with Farmstrong. Sarah still enjoys working part time casually on local farms, hunting with her 3 children, playing, coaching and motivating others to exercise and play sport.
