“Fearless, intriguing and refreshing”- Theatreview (NZ)

that good" - The Advertiser

Instant friend Joana Joy (Joy by name, joy by nature) is on a quest for stillness. Fresh from Melbourne International Comedy and Adelaide Fringe Festivals, Joana Joy is back with an unforgettable evening of stand-up, punctuated by moments of electrifying dance (maybe even a Muay Thai demonstration), all set to a playlist controlled by YOU, the audience.

With a long career as a professional dancer and cabaret performer, Banana Jolie, and accolades across the Antipodes (Splore, NZ Fringe, Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne Fringe, Splendour in the Grass Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, Falls Festival, ACC ads, Australia’s Got Talent Finalist), Joana is realising that life might be more about ‘being’ than ‘doing’.

Ironic winner of Australia’s Funniest State/ Territory (Adelaide Fringe ‘23), this kiwi sweetheart delves into the intricacies of the human condition, from meditation to Wellington’s wind. With a background in psychology and philosophy, she offers a fresh perspective on productivity and overachieving, whilst YOU, the audience can make her dance at any point. It’s hilarious, heartfelt, energetic and far from cliché.

Book now, book for your pals, three shows only, Geddit!
